About

The Roughrider Association was founded in March 2025 by active-duty Marines who wanted to create an organization that:

• Provide support to Marines and Sailors beyond the unit's official unit, personal, and family readiness program

• Maintain an esprit de corps and honor the service of those who have served with the battalion

The Association is established as a private organization under the supervision of Marine Corps Installations Pacific-Marine Corps Base Camp Butler under Order 5760.2 dated 8 November 2022.  As such, the Roughrider Association is a non-federal entity, is not a part of the Department of Defense or any of its components, and has no governmental status.
