Since membership is free, the Roughrider Association depends entirely on fundraising for its programming.

The Association raises funds three ways:

Active-duty members conduct fundraisers as a private organization across Okinawa, typically Marine Corps Community Service festivals
Proceeds from merchandise sales and affiliate links in our Shop (Under Construction)
Donations from alumni, family, friends, and other benefactors like you

If you'd like to support active-duty Marine and Sailors currently serving with the Roughriders, please see below for one-time or recurring donation options and optional packages.

If there's a particular program not listed that you'd like to sponsor, please contact the Treasurer.

If you'd prefer to donate via check, mail them to Roughrider Association, c/o Treasurer, PSC 80 Box 13793, FPO, AP 96367.

Optional Donation Packages

Membership Donation - $5: Defer the cost of your membership card and postage for initial registration.

Lil' Roughrider Bundle - $30: Provide a gift bag that includes a 12th LLB-branded baby blanket and glow-in-the-dark pacifiers (babies don't come with night vision goggles!) for children born to Roughrider parents.

Birthday Ball Ticket - $60: Provide an active-duty Roughrider the opportunity to celebrate the Marine Corps' 250th birthday celebration this November. Tickets will be provided to the most junior Marine or Sailor in ascending order.

Annual Award Naming Sponsorship - $250: Dedicate an annual excellence award to a particular Marine, Sailor, operation, or theme for the next five years. Include the personage / operation / theme engraved on the individual award, inclusion on the perpetual plaque, and a page and blog post on the Association's website to highlight its significance. Limited supply.

Annual Award Endowment - $500: Sponsor an annual excellence award for the next five years. Awardees receive an engraved plaque and their name added to a perpetual plaque displayed in the battalion's command post. Limited supply.

Tax-Exempt Status - $600: Pay the one-time Internal Revenue Service Form 1024 fee for the Association to apply for tax-exempt 501(c)(19) veterans organization status.

Roughrider of the Year Award Endowment - $1000: Sponsor the senior annual excellence award for the next five years. Awardees receive an engraved trophy and their name added to a perpetual plaque displayed in the battalion's command post.
